I feel the pain of you Canadians at your pumps. BUT I say: Fuel prices are not dropping fast enough in the U.S. or Canada!!! We don't need the Keystone XL pipeline to take Canadian and North Dakota oil to the Gulf Coast where it will be just trans-shipped to the Orient. Trains can take the crude to any refinery that needs it. Then refine the crude in North American refineries and keep all of the fuel produced, in North America until all of our prices drop to about $2.509 per gallon for gasoline AND diesel.

Canadians ARE refining some of the oil and using it in Canada. The tar sands unrefined will be diluted and pumped to USA Keystone) or west coast (Gateway) and exported after the diluting liquids are recovered and piped back to tar sands for re-use. That way the receiving customer (USA or China) has to put up with all the pollution from the refining. Cool, eh?

How come the Canadians don't just refine the oil from the tar sands themselves?
