I reverted to the "Mirror Lake Dr" side street. It does get confusing, because that whole street around the actual lake changes street names, from Main St, to Mirror Lake Rd, to Lake Placid Lake Dr, to Shore Dr. It's pretty much one street that loops Mirror Lake. I have to agree that I love Lake Placid as well. Beautiful place, and really nice people.

Hi again! I just posted a couple additional photos of the Mobil station. You might be able to see the names of the streets on the sign on the corner but if not, I've uploaded a close up of it. As an aside, when I added this station a couple days ago, I took the name of the side street off the map provided by GasBuddy and that clearly said "Shore Road". However, I changed my posting when I passed the station and saw the street sign that I photographed that said something different. Needless to say, I'm a bit confused. If you agree with my assessment that it should be "Mirror Lake Drive", could you please adjust the posting?

To answer your question, I don't live here but am a frequent visitor to the area. I just love this place!

I was there just recently, as I have family in Lake Placid, and I have always known that little street to be known as Shore Dr. It does change into a couple different names, but that little stretch in front on the Mobil Between Main St and Parkside Dr) is Shore Rd. After Parkside, it does change names. By the way, what part of Lake Placid are you in? My uncle and his family lives on Mill Pond
